LILLY
This interactive sculpture/ instrument uses a set of six "tone tubes" with music wire stretched inside. The wires are sounded by the "L" shaped 3D printed strikers. The strikers are activated by plucking the six jewelry chain cords, which are attached through the gearing mechanism featured in the top window and a series of pulleys. Each tone tube has a 1/2 step sharping lever enabling the use
SOPHIE
This sculpture has glass and sheet metal layers over "tone tubes" holding stretched piano wire inside. When a small strong magnet is is brushed across the glass surface near the end of one of the 12 semi-circular tines, a tone is produced by the magnetically attracted tine pulled, then released to strike the string inside the sculpture.
FOLGER
This is an early interactive sculpture using a deconstructed/ reconstructed coffee can to produce electronic sound. The metal parts provide the tracing for the circuit. The dowel on the right moves vertically as an on/off switch. The dowel on the left moves horizontally to control pitch as it turns a potentiometer.

BANNER CHIMES FLAGPOLE
The Banner Chimes Musical flagpole was a patented commercial product. It created plucked string sounds from within a standard sized 5' aluminum pole whenever any grommeted or sleeved house flag moved with the wind. Only a limited number of these exist now.
